CRDC: Pathways to College and Career Readiness

Every other year, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) conducts the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) for data on key education and civil rights issues in our nation's public schools. This required collection helps illustrate student access to opportunities and aspects of school climate. The CRDC Pathways to College-and Career-Readiness examines student access to courses, programs, staff, and resources students need to graduate. Data displayed in this section reflects student access to College- and Career-Ready opportunities across student groups.

Note: All data presented in this section are reported by school districts to ED. The Oklahoma Department of Education (OSDE) does not collect or validate these data.

The full CRDC data collection can be accessed by visiting https://ocrdata.ed.gov/

Chronic Absenteeism

No data available

Why do we measure this?

Researchers have shown that too much lost instructional time can put students at risk of falling behind academically.

What was measured?

Data displayed here show the percentage of students considered chronically absent (defined by the CRDC as students who were enrolled for at least 10 school days at any time during the year, and who were absent 10% or more of the days in the school in which they were enrolled).

Preschool Enrollment

No data available

Why do we measure this?

A child’s early education, including preschool and elementary school, sets the foundation for their future success. For the CRDC, “preschool” means a program operated by a public school for children younger than kindergarten age, including early childhood programs or services.

What was measured?

Data displayed here show the percentage of children enrolled in preschool programs or services for children ages three through five. Data displayed in the Student Demographic section show the number of students enrolled.

Accelerated Coursework

Why do we measure this?

Researchers have shown that rigorous high school courses contribute to postsecondary success. Advanced coursework refers to classes that provide students the opportunity to earn college credit in high school. Such courses include, but are not limited to, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and dual/concurrent enrollment.

What was measured?

Data displayed here show the number and percentage of students enrolled in accelerated coursework including Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and/or Dual/Concurrent Enrollment.
